The new map dynamics are making the game feel like more of the same every round.Winning with a no healer comp seems like less of an issue. The new items & mechanics changes are helping with team comp issues.

The main problem is that BR patch 2.0 addressed 0 problems of Battlerite Still taking in all the changes, and I can say the game isn't in a "solved" state as of yet, at least from my experience.

OptimusNegligible - what would you add to fix the game's problems? Is there anything? I consider you often a sensible drop of common sense on this subreddit full of histeria, but you seem to have strong bias, so I wonder whether you can look at critically at the gameplay. As I said they quit because of lack of feeling of progression. I will grant you though that I may be biased toward it, but especially after that review I have upated my belief on how crucial such competetive experiances are for games like this.Īnd I agree people didn't quite because of it. I remember friends sending me text messages asking whether I will be able to participate and groups of people excited for this competetive feeling. My biggest and best memories from BLC are automated tournaments, preparations and feelings associated with it. Although I hadn't considered this factor before I saw mentioned review I instantly realized that it was spot on. I remember, back in the days, some YouTuber or some review describing that BR is missing thiese unique moments, these experiences that stand out and are memorable. Right now there are people who just log in to play private games to have this competetive feeling but it's just less exciting. Try to open it to people who are less competitive. If they have that they can then experiment with other features, adding different modes, adding items, etc. I think you may be right that they think that it's not what community want and they may be right, but on the other hand it will cater to their loyal playerbase, the one they have to keep in the first place to maintain game in stable state. I can see where you come from, but it would not be another ranked team league. But still we need some way of keeping people entertained, for me delaying so much automated tournaments may be a big mistakes and I'm not sure why are the reasons for that. Good they have introduced BattlePass, this is good change. Adding armory and all these fireworks seemed more like gimmick, although I understand they need to secure financial stability which is probably very hard for them and I would bet they are losing money. Yet, my hunch is that they do not focus on the more important aspects of game, like keeping players playing and have some sense of progression (for example because of how our cognition work champion caps seem like poor idea gameplay design-wise). Saying all this, I believe SLS has better sense of game development and have access to better data so there is big chance I'm wrong. Additionally, many people left or found themselves less motivated to play because of how some of the changes affect the core spirit of Battlerite (consumables, balanced skill-centered gameplay, etc.). The main problem is that BR patch 2.0 addressed 0 problems of Battlerite - mostly player retention and very unforgiving environment. TOURNAMENT LIST BEGIN TOURNAMENT LIST END
